RAJA VIRBHADRA SINGH, GOLDEN ERA FOR HIMACHAL
Raja Virbhadra Singh (born on 23rd June 1934 at Sarahan, District Shimla) to a royal family, is an Indian politician who has been the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh since 2012. Son of late Raja Sir Padam Singh of Bushahr State. He has previously held several national political offices and previously served as Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh from 1983 to 1990, from 1993 to 1998, and from 2003 to 2007. He was an elected member of the Lok Sabha in 1962, 1967, 1972, 1980 and in 2009. He is a member of the Indian National Congress.
Virbhadra Singh was educated at Col. Brown Cambridge School Dehra Dun, Bishop Cotton School (Shimla) and later obtained a BA Honours degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.

One of the oldest hill states after Kashmir, traditionally founded by Pradhuman, the son of Lord Krishna. According to C. F. Kennedy, it was founded by Rana Danbar Singh, an immigrant Rajput from the Deccan in 1412

Rajkumari Abhilasha Kumari, born 23rd February 1956, appointed a High Court Judge of the Gujarat High Court by the Government of India in May 2006. Married 7th November 1979 in Shimla, Kunwar Prithvindra Sinh Gohil of Dared in Gujarat, born 11th July 1950.
Rajkumari Jyotsna Kumari, born 27th February 1958, Married Rajkumar Rajiv Singh of Kashipur.
Rajkumari Anuradha Kumari, born 14th December 1960, died unmarried 4th May 1999.
Rajkumari Meenakshi Kumari, born 27th June 1966 at Shimla, Married November 1988 at Shimla (div.), Yuvraj Jaideep Sinh Jhala of Limbdi, one son and one daughter by the second wife(RANI Pratibha Kumari).
Married 2ndly, 28th November 1985 at Junga, Rani Pratibha Kumari, born 16th June 1956, Member of the Lok Sabha, daughter of Raja Hitendra Sen of Keonthal, and his wife, Rani Shanta Devi.
Having one Son & one daughter from second wife.
Tikka Vikram Aditya Singh, born 17th October 1989 at Shimla, educated at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla.
Rajkumari Aprajita Kumari, born 6th December 1986 at Shimla, educated at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, District Solan and at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, studying for her B.A. in Mathematics, from 2005. Aprajita has got married to Angad Singh, the grandson of the titular Maharaja of Patiala, Captain Amarinder Singh.
Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, from 8th April, 1983 to 5th March, 1990, 3rd December, 1993 to 23rd March, 1998 and from 6th March, 2003 to 29th December, 2007.
Leader of Opposition in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, March 1998 to March 2003.
Became President of HPCC on 26th August, 2012; elected to Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the 8th time in December, 2012 from Shimla Rural Assembly Constituency and sworn as Chief Minister of the Himachal Pradesh for the sixth time on 25 December, 2012.

Raja Virbhadra Singh had a long politicaOne of the greatest leader spanning more than 6 Decades former Himachal CM with rich administrative and legislative experience.
